She is Cartesian to the core and has the method in her blood. She advocates the everyday use of the camera as a tool for having fun, learning and thinking. In short, she sees it as a way of life. For Stefi, the drive to record it all goes way back, from the time when, equipped with just a Handycam Video 8, a video player and a VHS tape, she had all she needed to edit her home productions and tell a good story.

This catalan made in Sicily, when filming or editing, she has no qualms about getting emotional and shedding a tear if a scene touches her. This passion for everything she does is the secret to the quality of her output. And it is plain for all to see, in the rhythm, light and the details of her work. This emotional and personal aspect sets her apart and is what makes her company a success.

If there is a day when inspiration eludes her with a misfocused frame, she always has Luca on hand to revive her waning ingenuity. Luca is her right-hand man, her breath of fresh air, her brother. Two pieces of the same jigsaw that could work extremely well on their own but which fit together perfectly.

Luca is good with his hands, a perfectionist and always wants to ensure that the customer gets the very best result. He is bursting with creativity and, with just a few resources, he can create any gadget practically out of nothing. In his personal life, there is never enough time to be able to develop all of the ideas that pop into his head. This is why his work has become his own individual refuge: a good idea in the personal sphere can be an even better idea in the professional arena.

He is addicted to technology, photography and everything involved in the audiovisual world. The camera has become the extension of his right arm and, when searching for the optimal light or the ideal shot, he has the sensitivity required to capture it. He lives in this constant duality with Facebook and Instagram, and he manages to find the most unexpected and interesting videos on YouTube. Sharing and being in contact with people is fundamental to his life. Sociable and determined as a general rule, don’t ever make him choose between art and sport, because he will pick them both.

When he needs advice, it will most likely come in the form of Stefi Leonardi. She is his rational side, his video library, his alter ego, his sister. Together they form the factory of ideas that is the defining feature of BASILICO STUDIO. Ingenuity and sensitivity. Imagination and method.

I am passionate about art in general, especially music and photography. I don’t like to interfere with the natural development of a scene. I love looks and smiles of shared moments, but I like to guide my subjects (the bride and groom) so that the sessions convey what they are like without being inhibited by the camera. I relish capturing everything from the most intimate and emotional parts to the most fun and joyful moments.
I love experimenting with photography and post-editing, the way we treat the colours, play with the light, double exposures and so on. I am happy when my photography conveys sensations.

Abel Vilches

Over the course of my life, I have followed many different trails that were all subconsciously leading towards the same path, which became clear to me as soon as I held my first reflex camera in my hands. I then realized that this small tool had the power to transform something apparently simple into something special, amplifying reality to achieve the maximum expressivity of a moment. This is what forms the basis of the way I work, playing with moments so that they themselves become characters that feel, breathe and live. Every time I pick up my camera, right from the first click, a bubble forms around me within which I simply flow with what is happening, capturing each moment with sincerity.

As far back as I can remember, my passion has been photography. Luckily, with effort and a lot of love, my passion has become my profession and that is all thanks to the people that have placed their trust in me and my style. I love taking photographs of people, their lives and what makes them unique. I still get excited at every wedding as I strive to experience all of the moments with the same intensity as the first day, capturing every instant, every smile and every tiny detail that makes the day so magical. I can’t imagine my life without my camera in it, as I would never have imagined that, working in photography, I would have the chance to meet such amazing people.

Photography fascinates me. I have been doing this job for years and it has ended up becoming a way of life.
It's hard for me to choose one of its specialities, but weddings have always had an important place.
Not only because of what it implies in terms of knowledge, technique and experience, but also because of the fusion between portraiture, documenting and creativity that it entails.
It allows you to go further and capture feelings, relationships, love, ... This is what makes it the most interesting specialty, the most intense and the most beautiful.

I am a filmmaker with a degree in Audiovisual Communication from Barcelona in 2007.
Over these last 8 years, my entrepreneurial and versatile nature has led me to explore the worlds of advertising, music videos, television, corporate communication and digital journalism, eventually specializing in the production of commercial videos.
I am curious by nature and I like to be learning constantly. In my head, I have thousands of new ideas to keep evolving.

I like getting to know people’s stories and capturing their emotions. With over 10 years’ experience of producing wedding video and 7 years in SDE, I thrive on continuing to learn every day and strive to discover new ways of showing the couple through the lens of my camera.
I would describe myself as restless, perfectionist and keen to do whatever it takes to capture the most important moments at each of the weddings.

Hello! I am Manel. I've lived with a camera in my hands since I was 14 years old. I always liked being outdoors, and catch special moments to share. I consider myself meticulous and methodical. I like to squeeze the very last drop out the camera to obtain a good quality result. A wedding is an ideal opportunity to take my creative side, always planned and timed. I enjoy watching the finished movie as if I was the protagonist.

Since I was very young, I caught my dad’s passion for photography and videos. Every trip was recorded in thousands of images and edited into a summary video to keep as a souvenir.
I love my work. It is a joy to capture the best shots of each moment of a couple’s wedding day and edit a video so that the bride and groom can remember their special day and relive the emotions every time they watch it.
